New footage of Fire Emblem: Awakenings shown off during Nintendo Direct last night. As shown here, the 3DS game brings back the world map (last seen in FE: Sacred Stones), as well as skills. I don’t believe there’s any talk here about the reported paid DLC coming with the title when it releases in Japan on April 19, though.

God the world map THANK YOU. Now I can level grind to my heart’s content.

^^ Looks pretty good. This just raises my excitement.and anxiousness to get the game. There’s also that ‘no visible capacity’ for skills aside the maximum of 5 per character, which seems a bit weird as I’m sure there has to be a catch somewhere.

…Is it just me, or the way the guy draws the sword at 0.14 reminds a lot of Ike in RD? Anyway, I wonder if they’ll import and translate it at all, considering they completely ignored FE12… :/

I’m most worried about the voices when/if they bring it to America… 8”(  I have nothing against English voice actors, contrary to popular belief, but I like things in their original format and having new voices bothers me every time, even if they sound better or good or whatever.  I JUST… WISH THEY COULD HAVE THE OPTION TO TURN ON JAPANESE VOICES… similarly, Kid Icarus: Uprising would be a definite seller for me if I had the option to make Pit be voice by Minami Takayama instead of whoever the hell his voice actor is.  (I don’t like his English voice.)

Clearly, I am picky about little things.  BUT I JUST REALLY LIKE MY JAPANESE VOICE ACTORS/HAVING THINGS VOICED BY THE ORIGINAL CAST.  There is no crime in that, I don’t think.

OTHERWISE this game looks pretty neat!
